Debbie Lynn Haky

Debbie Lynn Haky

Beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & Friend

November 20th, 1959August 27th, 2026

Debbie Lynn Haky, 66, of Stuart, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida, shortly after being diagnosed with liver cancer.

Debbie was born on November 20, 1959, in Fort Riley, Kansas. She attended Barstow High School in Barstow, California.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Lucas, of Ocala, Florida, and her father, Glenn Durst, of Maryland. She is also survived by her daughters, Chastity Stoddard, of Castlewood, Virginia; Shawna Savage and husband Mark, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; her son, Michael Haky, of Naples, Florida; and her son-in-law, Michael Stoddard, of Tampa, Florida.

Debbie was a loving and proud grandmother to Jacob and wife Phaedra, Michayla and Alex, Ryan, and Madison Stoddard and fiancé Kristian; Jeremiah Brooks, Christopher, and Sophia Savage; and Aubrey Haky. She was also a great-grandmother to Mazerynn and Silas.

She is further survived by her uncles, Raymond Barnes and wife Pamela, Gerald Barnes and wife Denise, Ernest Barnes, Aunt Helen, and by her Aunt Lisa Schlosnagle.

Last, and most certainly not least she is survived by her greatest friend in life, Elizabeth Pfister more affectionately known as Aunt Dale and her friend and partner Steve Tschudi

Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilbur and Jeanne Barnes; her uncle, Roger Barnes; and her “Pop,” Robert Lucas.

Debbie was, above all else, a devoted single mother of her three children. She was hardworking, spent her career in hospitality and retail trades, and for the last nine years worked at the Home Depot in Stuart, Florida — a job she loved. She loved going to the beach and the mountains. She loved collecting Dreamsicle Angels, amassing quite the collection, with many on display in cabinets and shelves around her home, and many more carefully packed away.

Debbie’s children will remember her for her beauty, her Farrah Fawcett hair, her love of music, especially The Eagles and Chicago, her strength, her perseverance, her wonderful cooking, and for teaching them to always stand up for themselves.

Debbie will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, but she is in God’s care now.

A celebration of life is being planned, with details to be shared with family and close friends soon.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital, as well as the caring and compassionate staff at Treasure Coast Hospice, for the care and comfort given to Debbie in her final days.

One in three Americans will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. If you or a loved one have been impacted by cancer, or if you wish to make a donation in Debbie’s name in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.

We just passed the one month mark of losing you and there are still moments every day that I am in complete shock that you are gone. I would give anything for just one more day, one more moment with you, just one more phone call to have the chance to tell you how much you mean to me. I love you, so much. And i miss you Mom, more than I can express in words.
